Protection varies by booking platform, country, reservation and claim. Airbnb currently provides AirCover for Hosts, which advertises up to US$3 million in Host damage protection and US$1 million in Host liability insurance, subject to its terms, exclusions and claim requirements.
Other booking platforms may offer different levels of protection, and some bookings may have limited or no platform-provided protection.
For this reason, we recommend maintaining appropriate building, contents, public liability and short-stay insurance for your property. Platform protection should be viewed as an additional layer of protection, not a replacement for your own insurance.
